The Compose tab of the Marketing Hub creates posts for any combination of your connected channels in three steps — channels → content → schedule — with a live per-platform preview on the right.

Compose a post

  1. Pick your channels. Under 1 · Channels, tick one or more connected account chips — post to one platform or all of them at once — then Next.
  2. Write the content. Under 2 · Content, write your caption or click the sparkle button to have AI draft one with a hook, body, and call-to-action (free). Add media from AI Studio (2 credits per generated image), Drive, or a public URL. The live counter tracks the strictest limit among your selected platforms.
  3. Fine-tune per platform. The Per-channel tabs hold platform-specific options — Reels and Stories, X Polls, YouTube title/visibility, Pinterest board and link, an auto-posted First comment on Facebook/Instagram, and placement pickers (Page, Board, Location) where accounts have multiple destinations.
  4. Publish, schedule, or draft. Under 3 · Schedule, leave Post now on and Publish now — or switch it off, pick a quick chip (Tonight 6 PM, Tomorrow 9 AM, This weekend, Next Monday) or an exact time, and Schedule. Draft saves without publishing, and your work autosaves in the browser as you type.

Media rules: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest always require media, as do Reel/Story/Photo formats. Media must be public https linksAI Studio and Drive provide these automatically; pasted data:/blob: images are flagged “NOT PUBLIC” and block publishing.

Post types and extras

  • Facebook — Feed post, Reel (vertical video, 3–90s), or Story (24h, no caption).
  • Instagram — Feed post, Reel (cover image, audio name), or Story; Collaborators and First comment supported.
  • X — Tweet or Poll: 2–4 options (max 25 chars each), 5 minutes to 7 days; polls can't include media.
  • TikTok — Video or Photo post (up to 35 images) with viewer/comment/duet controls.
  • Google Business — Update, Event, Offer, or Photo with coupon codes, dates, and CTA buttons.

Manage your posts

The Posts tab shows everything in a color-coded Calendar (scheduled = blue, published = green, drafts = amber, failed = red) or a Grid, with status filters. Scheduled posts also appear on your team calendar. Click a post for its detail: per-platform status, View on platform permalinks, live metrics, and a comments thread you can reply to — the same threads flow into the engagement Inbox.

Editing rules: Only drafts and scheduled posts can be edited (caption, plus reschedule). Published posts can only be deleted — and deletion can't be undone.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI write my captions, and does it cost credits?

Yes — the sparkle button drafts an engaging caption with a hook, body, and call-to-action, free of charge. Generating images in AI Studio costs 2 credits each.

Can I post to several platforms at once?

Yes — select any combination of connected channels and publish in one go, with per-channel post types and options. The preview shows each platform's exact rendering.

How do I schedule a post for later?

In step 3, turn off Post now, pick a quick chip or exact date-time, and click Schedule. Scheduled posts appear blue on the calendar and can be edited or rescheduled until they go out.

Why is the Publish button disabled?

A blocking issue is listed in the amber box: caption over a platform's limit, missing required media, media that isn't a public https link, an X poll with fewer than two options or with media, or a channel missing its Page/Board/Location destination.

Can I edit a post after it's published?

No — only drafts and scheduled posts are editable. Published posts can only be deleted.

What do the post statuses mean?

Published (green) is live; Scheduled (blue) is queued; Draft (amber) never auto-publishes; Failed (red) errored on at least one platform — open it to read the per-platform error, fix (often by reconnecting an expired account), and repost.

Where does my post media need to live?

Anywhere publicly reachable over https. AI Studio results and Drive files qualify automatically; pasted or AI-edited local images must be uploaded first.
