Products, categories & coupons

Build your catalog in LogAI: simple and variable products with variants and auto-generated barcodes, category hierarchies, AI-generated product images, and discount coupons with cart conditions and per-lead targeting.

Catalog → Inventory holds your products and categories; Catalog → Coupons holds your discounts. Everything here feeds the rest of LogAI — invoices and the Point of Sale, your online storefront, and abandoned-cart recovery.

Add a product

  1. Open the product form. On Inventory → Products, click Add. First choose the product kind: Simple (“One sellable unit with its own price and stock.”) or Variable (“Options like size or colour, each its own SKU.”).
  2. Fill the basics. Product name, description, SKU, and HSN code. Leave Barcode blank and a unique barcode is generated automatically on save — a live preview renders as you type. Pick the Type (Physical or Digital Service) and a Category (filtered by type).
  3. Set pricing and stock. Simple physical products need Selling Price, MRP, Purchased Qty, and Current Stock; digital services need only MRP plus an optional duration. For Variable products, define up to 3 options (e.g. Size, Colour) — LogAI generates the variant matrix, each combination with its own SKU, price, MRP, stock, and an Active switch; the star marks the default variant.
  4. Add images. Upload files (JPEG/PNG/WebP/GIF, compressed client-side, max 10 MB after compression), pick from Drive, or click Generate with xLog to create one with AI (2 credits). Star a thumbnail to make it the primary image.
  5. Save. Click Add new product. In the table, most cells edit inline — name, SKU, stock, prices, category, barcode — and a pin keeps important products on top.

Barcode-friendly: The search box accepts a barcode scanner — scanning searches instantly. Select products to print barcode labels in bulk from the selection bar.

Categories

The Categories tab supports full hierarchies: each category has a name (up to 100 characters), a type (Digital or Physical Service), an optional parent of the same type, and images. Switch between Table and Tree views to see the structure, and filter by type tabs. Products can only join categories matching their type.

Create discount coupons

  1. Add the coupon. On Catalog → Coupons, click Add Coupon. Enter the code (auto-uppercased, letters/digits/_/-, up to 30 characters, unique) and pick the type: Percentage (max 100) or Flat (fixed amount).
  2. Set conditions (optional). Min Cart Value, Min Items, and Max Uses Per Lead (blank = unlimited) are enforced at storefront checkout with clear error messages for the shopper.
  3. Target and schedule (optional). Assign the coupon to one specific lead — other shoppers see it as invalid — and set start/end dates, or leave them empty for no restriction.
  4. Activate. Save with status Active. The table tracks each coupon's Usage Count, and most columns edit inline.

How checkout validates coupons: At your storefront's checkout LogAI checks the active flag, date window, minimum cart value and item count, and per-lead usage (counting paid uses plus pending unpaid orders). The discount never exceeds the cart subtotal.

Market products with AI

The sparkles icon on any product row (or the bulk bar's Market with xLog) opens the AI Marketing Studio, which drafts a cross-platform campaign for the product — 20 credits per product published, plus 3 credits per banner image generated. Product images via Generate with xLog cost 2 credits each.

Access

Both screens need the Catalog permission: Viewer to browse, Editor to add, edit, or delete products, categories, and coupons (and to use the AI marketing actions). Exports download CSVs of your selection or the current filter.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a Simple and a Variable product?

Simple products have one price and stock. Variable products define up to 3 options (like Size and Colour); LogAI generates a variant matrix where each combination gets its own SKU, price, MRP, stock, and active switch, with a star marking the default. The table shows “By variant” for their stock and prices.

Do I have to enter barcodes manually?

No — leave the field blank and a unique barcode is generated automatically on save. A scanner works directly in the product search box, and you can print barcode labels in bulk.

What image formats and sizes are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF. Files are compressed in the browser and must be at most 10 MB after compression (25 MB raw input cap). You can also pick images from Drive or generate them with AI for 2 credits.

Can a coupon be limited to one customer?

Yes — assign it to a specific lead when creating it; anyone else entering the code sees it as invalid. This pairs well with abandoned-cart recovery, which can create a lead-specific coupon in one click.

Why is my coupon rejected at checkout?

Checkout enforces everything: “This coupon has expired.”, “Cart subtotal must be at least ₹X…”, “Cart must have at least N item(s)…”, or “You have reached the maximum number of uses…”. Per-lead usage counts paid uses plus pending unpaid orders.

How do categories relate to product types?

Each category belongs to a type (Digital or Physical Service) and can nest under a parent of the same type. Product forms only offer categories matching the product's chosen type.

What does “Market with xLog” cost?

20 AI credits per product published to a campaign, plus 3 credits per banner image generated (including regenerations). Single product images via Generate with xLog are 2 credits each.
