Leads, contacts & customers
Capture and work leads in LogAI's CRM: create and import leads, filter and bulk-edit them, score them Hot/Warm/Cold automatically, convert them to customers, and keep customer records in sync.

Sales → Contacts is your lead workspace: every prospect, filterable and searchable, with status tabs (All, New, Contacted, Qualified, Converted, Lost) showing live org-wide counts. Filters, search, and sorting live in the URL, so any view is shareable — and you can save favorites with Saved Views. Converted leads become records in Sales → Customers.
Add a lead
- Open the wizard. Click
Add Lead. The Create New Lead panel slides in with accordion sections: Personal Info, Company, Location, Details, Sales Intelligence, and Additional Information (your org's custom fields). - Fill the essentials. Required:
First Name,Last Name,Company Name,Industry,Address,Country,State,Postal Code,Status, andSource. You must also provide at least an email or a phone number — the wizard blocks saving otherwise. - Add sales intelligence (optional). Fields like
Budget Range,Authority Contact,Need Summary,Expected Close Date, andDeal Valueenrich the lead — several of these later gate pipeline stage moves, so filling them early pays off. - Create. Click
Create Lead. The lead appears in the table with a starting score of 0. Your draft is kept if you close the wizard mid-way (until you refresh or clickClear Form).
Import and export
- Import — click
Importand upload a.csv,.xlsx, or.xlsfile. Column headers are matched flexibly (name/first_name,email/e-mail,phone/mobile,company/organization, and so on). Each row needs a name plus an email or phone; invalid rows are skipped and reported individually with created/skipped/failed counts. There's no file-size or row-count cap. - Export — click
Exportto downloadleads-YYYY-MM-DD.csv. With rows selected it exports exactly those (selection persists across pages); otherwise it exports every lead matching your current filters, not just the visible page.
Work leads in bulk
Tick row checkboxes and a floating bar appears: Email (bulk email with your templates), WhatsApp (broadcast, via the WhatsApp integration), Assign (pick a teammate), Status (set all five statuses), Export, and Delete. Actions run per lead, and partial failures are reported — “Updated X leads, Y failed.”
The lead details sidebar
Click any lead to open its drawer (expandable to full screen) with three tabs: Details (inline-editable fields — changes save immediately), Activity (timeline, threaded notes, email with template picker, meetings), and Sales (the lead's deals). Quick actions for Call, Mail, and WhatsApp appear when the lead has the matching contact info.
Automatic lead scoring (Hot / Warm / Cold)
Under Settings → General → Lead scoring you define rules per lead field — an operator (Equals, Contains, Between, Greater Than, and more) plus a % weightage. For each field, the highest-scoring matching rule sets that field's score, and the final 0–100 score is the weighted average. The score drives the Category badge:
| Category | Score | Default threshold |
|---|---|---|
| HOT | At or above the Hot threshold | 80 |
| WARM | Between the two thresholds | 40–79 |
| COLD | Below the Cold threshold | under 40 |
Keep scores fresh: Turn on Auto-update scores when lead data changes and every lead edit recalculates its score instantly — categories are always computed from the current score, never stale.
Convert a lead to a customer
Set a lead's status to Converted — inline, in the sidebar, or via bulk Status. You get a celebration moment, and LogAI creates a linked Customer record (name, email, phone, address; status Active). Conversion happens once per lead, and later edits to the lead keep the customer's contact details in sync automatically.
Manage customers
Sales → Customers lists your customer base with All / Active / Inactive tabs, search, and export (customers-YYYY-MM-DD.csv). Add Customer creates one directly — first/last name, email, phone, and full address are required, with optional position and notes. Deletions are permanent and always confirmed first.
Segments — coming soon: Audience segmentation is in the works but not yet available — the Segments page doesn't appear in the sidebar yet.
Frequently asked questions
What lead statuses exist and can I customize them?
Statuses are fixed: New, Contacted, Qualified, Converted, Lost — they power the tabs on the Contacts page. For a custom sales process, use pipeline stages instead, which are fully editable per pipeline.
Do I need both an email and phone number to create a lead?
No — at least one of the two. The wizard shows “Please provide at least an email address or phone number.” if both are missing.
How do I import leads from a spreadsheet?
Click Import on the Contacts page and upload a .csv, .xlsx, or .xls. Headers are matched flexibly (name, email, phone, company, address, and more). Each row needs a name plus an email or phone; bad rows are skipped and reported one by one.
How is the lead score calculated?
You define rules per field in Settings → General → Lead scoring, each with an operator and % weightage. For each field the highest-scoring matching rule wins, and the final 0–100 score is the weighted average across fields. Below 40 is Cold, 80 and above is Hot (thresholds adjustable).
What happens when I mark a lead as Converted?
LogAI automatically creates a linked, Active customer record copying the lead's name, contact, and address details — exactly once per lead. Future lead edits keep the customer in sync.
Can I email or WhatsApp many leads at once?
Yes — select rows and use Email (with templates) or WhatsApp (broadcast) from the floating selection bar. The same bar bulk-assigns, sets status, exports, and deletes.
Does export include all my leads or just the current page?
All leads matching your current filters — pagination is bypassed for exports. If you've selected specific rows, only those are exported instead.
Can I add custom fields to leads?
Yes — your organization's custom lead fields (defined under Settings → General) appear in the Additional Information section of the lead wizard, as optional table columns, and as mappable targets in forms.
