AI lead enrichment & lead discovery

Enrich your leads automatically with LogAI's multi-signal enrichment engine — websites, Google Maps, social profiles and AI research — and discover brand-new leads that match your business, all with review-before-save control.

LogAI's enrichment engine fills in missing lead data automatically, and its discovery engine finds brand-new leads that match your business. Both live on Sales → Contacts, both use AI credits, and both follow the same rule: nothing is ever written to your CRM until you review and approve it.

Enrich leads in bulk

Select any leads in the Contacts table (the checkbox column works across pages) and click Enrich in the floating action bar. The engine gathers evidence from up to six signals per lead: the lead's own website (emails, phones, social links, address data), their social profiles (public bios and follower counts), Google Maps and map data (verified phone, address, ratings, opening hours), AI web research for leads with gaps, and an AI synthesis pass that cross-validates everything and classifies the industry.

  1. Confirm. Review what will run: the number of leads, the total credit cost, your balance, and the signals the engine will use. Optionally tell the AI what you're looking for — e.g. *"find decision-maker contacts and check if they sell online"* — and it will steer the research and report an insight per lead.
  2. Watch it work. A live pipeline shows each lead as it's processed. Leads where the engine finds nothing new are refunded automatically. You can cancel at any time — unprocessed leads are refunded.
  3. Review every change. Each lead gets a card of proposed changes: current value vs. proposed value, with the source and a confidence score. Safe fills (empty fields) come pre-checked; anything that would overwrite an existing value is flagged and needs your explicit tick. Every value is editable inline before applying. The AI also proposes 1-3 concrete next steps per lead, grounded in what it actually found.
  4. Apply. Click Apply and only the approved values are written. Each update goes through the normal lead pipeline — audit history, lead scoring, and workflows all fire as if you edited the lead yourself.

Enrichment comments: Leave Post summary & next steps as comments on and each enriched lead gets a tidy comment thread entry: what the business does, its ratings and social reach, the sources used — plus a separate comment listing the suggested next steps. Your own notes are never touched.

Fields the AI suggests

Beyond the standard fields, the engine proposes new custom fields that suit the kind of business you're enriching — *Cuisine Type* for restaurants, *Number of Chairs* for a dental clinic, *Ownership* for a supplier-diversity programme. These are suggestions only: they appear in a separate section of the review step, start switched off, and you can rename the field or change its type before accepting.

Why they're separate: Approving a value changes one lead. Approving a field adds a column to every lead in your workspace, so it's a deliberate, opt-in decision. Near-duplicate suggestions ("Founder" and "Founder Name") are merged into one, and anything already covered by a standard field is never proposed. Accepted fields appear in Settings → Additional Fields, where you can rename or remove them at any time.

Discover new leads

Click Find Leads in the Contacts header to open the discovery engine. Describe the kind of business you want (*"specialty coffee shops"*), where (*"Oakland, California"*), how many (10, 25 or 50), and optionally what makes a good lead for you. The engine sweeps live map listings, business registries and the open web, cross-validates every result, removes duplicates, and screens out businesses already in your CRM.

  • Searching is free — you only pay for the leads you import.
  • Optional targeting — require a website, phone or email, set a minimum star rating, and exclude names containing given keywords (handy for filtering out chains).
  • Every candidate shows its contact details, source, and a one-line reason it matched your criteria.
  • Businesses already in your CRM are flagged and can't be imported twice; duplicate imports are refunded automatically.
  • Imported leads arrive scored, auto-assigned by your assignment rules, and carry a comment explaining where they came from and why they matched.
  • After importing, one click on Enrich these now runs the full enrichment engine on your new leads.

Credits & refunds

Enrichment costs 5 credits per lead, reserved when the run starts. Discovery searches are free; importing costs 5 credits per imported lead. Refunds are automatic and per-lead: enrichment refunds any lead where nothing new was found (and everything unprocessed if you cancel), and discovery refunds any import that turns out to be a duplicate or fails. Discarding enrichment results after a successful run is not refunded — the research was already done.

What to expect: Enrichment quality depends on what's publicly available. Leads with a website get the richest results; leads with only a company name rely on maps and AI web research. Some social networks block automated reading of their pages — those are skipped silently and never cause a failure.

Permissions

Both features need the Contacts permission to read leads and the AI Tools permission to spend credits; applying enrichment or importing discovered leads additionally needs Contacts: Edit. Admins manage these under Team & Workspace roles.

Frequently asked questions

Will enrichment overwrite data my team already entered?

Never silently. Values that conflict with existing data are flagged in the review step and stay unchecked until you explicitly approve them. Only empty fields are pre-checked, and even those can be edited or deselected before applying.

What happens if enrichment finds nothing for a lead?

That lead's credits are refunded automatically, and the run continues for the rest of the batch. You'll see exactly which leads were refunded in the progress and results screens.

Where do discovered leads come from?

The discovery engine cross-references live map listings, business registries and open-web research, then de-duplicates across sources and against your CRM. Every candidate carries a match reason so you can judge it before importing.

Can I tell the AI what I'm looking for?

Yes — both flows accept an optional free-text goal (enrichment) or requirements (discovery). The AI uses it to prioritize research and, for enrichment, writes a per-lead insight addressing your goal.

How many leads can I enrich or discover at once?

Enrichment runs up to 50 leads per batch. Discovery returns up to 50 candidates per search — run additional searches for more areas or business types.
